What you’ll need:
Printed hat template from The Green Hare Idea
Scissors
Glue
Decorations (e.g. stickers, ribbon, markers)
Instructions:
Print & Cut:
Print the template and carefully cut out all the shapes.
You should have:
1 circle (top of the hat)
2 rectangles (sides of the hat)
2 arches (brim of the hat)
Fold the Rectangles:
each rectangle has an edge on both sides with lines that will need to be cut to form tabs.
First, fold the two edges, the op inward (this will help attach the top of the hat), the bottom outward (this is for attaching the brim).
Snip small tabs along both the top and bottom folded edges.
Form the Cylinder:
Glue the two rectangles together end-to-end to make one long strip.
Then roll and glue the strip into a cylinder shape.
Make sure the top tabs are folded inward, and bottom tabs are folded outward.
Attach the Top:
Apply glue around the edge of the
circle. Stick it onto the inward-facing tabs at the top of the cylinder. Press firmly and let dry.
Attach the Brim:
Apply glue along the curved edge of each arch. Stick them to the
outward-facing tabs at the bottom of the cylinder.
Position the arches close to the cylinder walls to create a neat brim
Tidy Up:
Trim any overhanging bits. Smooth out any rough edges
Decorate:
Now the fun part – decorate your hat however you like!

String Garland
Create a unique and stunning backdrop, or jazz up your party space with our easy-to-make string garland. Follow these simple steps to craft your own beautiful decoration using our printable template from www.TheGreenHareIdea.com. What You’ll Need: - Printable template from The Green Hare Idea
-A4 paper - we find 130gsm works best - Printer - Scissors - Cotton string - Tape - Glue (optional) Instructions: 1. Print the Template Download and print your chosen design from www.TheGreenHareIdea.com. While double-sided printing is ideal for a colorful look on both sides, it’s not essential. Option 1: Print on one side only and leave the back white for a minimalist style. Option 2: Glue two cut-out shapes back-to-back for color on both sides. 2. Prepare the Pieces Once printed, stack multiple pages of the template together to save time. Carefully cut out the shapes, following the printed outlines. Cutting multiple sheets at once speeds up the process. 3. Attach to String Measure and cut your cotton string to the desired length for your garland. Arrange your cut shapes in your preferred order along the string. 4. Secure the Pieces Use small pieces of tape to adhere the shapes to the string. Place the tape on the back of each shape, ensuring the string runs across the middle for balance. If gluing shapes back-to-back for color on both sides, ensure the string is sandwiched between them for added stability. 5. Finish and Hang Repeat the process until your garland is fully assembled. Hang your garland using tape, hooks, or nails, and let it bring color and charm to your space! Enjoy creating your one-of-a-kind string garland! Envelopes
Printing a card but don't have an envelope? No worries! Check out these super easy instructions to make an envelope to suit your card.
Materials:
- A4 sheet of paper, just normal print paper
- Glue
- Card to place inside the envelope
Steps:
1.Prepare the Paper and Card
Lay the A4 paper on a flat surface and place the card in the centre of the paper, about one-third of the way from the bottom.
2. Fold the Bottom Section
Fold the bottom portion of the paper up so it covers the card completely. Ensure the fold is even and the paper lies flat.
3. Create Side Flaps
Fold the sides of the paper inward, ensuring the edges do not touch the card. Leave a slight gap so the card can slide in and out easily.
4. Glue the Side Flaps
Apply glue to the inside edges of the side flaps. Be careful to keep the glue away from the area where the card sits.
5. Secure the Envelope Body
Fold the bottom section (with the card inside) up again, pressing the glued side flaps to secure them together. This forms the main body of the envelope.
6. Fold the Top Flap
Fold the top part of the paper down to cover the card and seal the envelope. Ensure the fold aligns neatly with the edges of the envelope.
7. Optional: Trim the Flap
To create a more decorative triangular flap, trim the edges of the top flap at an angle with scissors. This step is optional but adds a polished look to your envelope.
8. Seal the Envelope
Apply glue to the underside of the top flap and press it down firmly to close the envelope. A sticker works well too!
Your handmade envelope is now complete!
