Party Games - Musical Squares

Musical Squares is a fun and lively game similar to musical chairs, perfect for situations where you don't have enough chairs. Instead, print out squares and tape them securely to the ground, creating a playful pathway for the children. As the music plays, kids walk around the squares, eagerly anticipating the moment the music stops, when they must quickly find a square to stand on. To add an exciting twist, you can call out colours, and children must rush to find a square of the called colour. Be sure to print extra squares in case any get damaged during the game, ensuring uninterrupted fun for everyone!

Instructions 

1. Setup:

- Print out and cut out enough squares to match the number of children playing.

- Tape the squares securely to the ground in a circle or other desired shape.

- Print extra squares in case any get damaged during the game.

2. How to Play:

- Play music and have the children walk around the squares.

- When the music stops, each child must find a square to stand on.

- Remove one square after each round.

- The child without a square is out.

3. Variation:

- Instead of removing squares, call out a colour or face expression.

- Children must quickly find and stand on a square of the called colour.

- If they don't get to that colour, then they are out!
